Color rendering is a measure of how accurate colors appear under the light source. Under a low CRI LED strip, colors might appear distorted, washed out, or indistinguishable. High CRI LED products offer light that allows objects to appear the way they would under an ideal light source such as a halogen lamp, or natural daylight. Also look for a light source’s R9 value, which provides further information about how red colors are rendered.

SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) LED strip is a type of digital LED strip that controls individual LEDs using the SPI communication protocol. When compared to traditional analog LED strips, it offers more control over color and brightness. The following are some of the benefits of SPI LED strips: 1. Improved color accuracy: SPI LED strips provide precise color control, allowing for the accurate display of a wide range of colors. 2. Fast refresh rate: SPI LED strips have fast refresh rates, which reduces flicker and improves overall image quality. 3. Improved brightness control: SPI LED strips offer fine-grained brightness control, allowing for subtle adjustments to individual LED brightness levels.
A dynamic pixel strip is an LED light strip that can change colors and patterns in response to external inputs such as sound or motion sensors. These strips control the individual lights in the strip with a microcontroller or a custom chip, allowing for a wide range of color combinations and patterns to be displayed. The microcontroller or chip receives information from an input source, such as a sound sensor or a computer program, and uses it to determine the color and pattern of each individual LED. This information is then transmitted to the LED strip, which illuminates each LED in accordance with the information received. Dynamic pixel strips are commonly used in lighting installations and theatrical performances.
To control individual LEDs, DMX LED strips use the DMX (Digital Multiplex) protocol, whereas SPI LED strips use the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) protocol. When compared to analog LED strips, DMX strips provide more control over color, brightness, and other effects, whereas SPI strips are easier to control and suitable for smaller installations. SPI strips are popular in hobbyist and DIY projects, whereas DMX strips are more commonly used in professional lighting applications.
